Studies have shown that if a student eats breakfast they will do better in school. What the student eats for breakfast also has an effect on their learning. In a recent study, by Dr. Holly Taylor, it showed that breakfast helped students perform better on verbal and spatial memory, attention, and visual perception. The North Union FFA and the following businesses: Champaign Landmark, American Family Insurance, and the Richwood VFW Post No.187 formed a partnership to help sophomores pass the State mandated Ohio Graduation Test on the week of March 13th. The FFA has found that many high school students do not eat breakfast before school. With the importance of the testing, the members decided to help by organizing a daily breakfast for the sophomores taking the Ohio Graduation Test. We hope that the breakfast will help our students achieve higher test score.
