National runners-up Members of the North Union FFA chapter were one of 32 teams participating in the 2003 National FFA Agronomy Career Development Event (CDE). The competition was held October 29-30, during the 2003 National FFA Convention. Pictured left to right are Agronomy Coach Jared Evans and team members Mark Bugg, Talyn Powers, Zach Welch and Nick Sheets, who were congratulated for their second place finish. Competitors in the event were asked to compete in all facets of the agronomic industry, from crop and weed identification to integrated pest management. Soil analysis and managerial decision making skills were also tested. |
